Be kind to others as they are fighting a battle you know nothing about.

I have witnessed many individuals being hurt due to judgments made by other people. It hurts me to see them in pain. They are fighting their own battles we have absolutely no nothing about. We must have compassion for everyone near us. Be kind and be a friend to them. The very least we can practice compassion is not to judge one’s life based on one single action.

We judge people based on their opinions and behavior. And we, ourselves are imperfect just like them. They might be fighting a battle we know nothing of.

Maybe they are having a hard time financially, emotionally, and is having their own set of struggles and pain. They just choose not to tell or announce their misfortune, as they prefer not to wallow in self-pity. They have their own vision of life and we have our vision for our lives. So, we should respect our differences by acknowledging they are unique in their way.

This world is made up of billions of human races. There will always be friction among ourselves. But we learned to embrace the differences of opinions and beliefs. We are not born perfect as we are perfectly imperfect in our own unique ways.

We tend to disregard their sense of dignity as a human being and we entertain our shallow ideas of their well-being. We can love to establish a friendship with someone who shares the same values. We can love to avoid someone with whom we feel uncomfortable to establish a friendship with. And that is okay. We have a choice in life. A choice to make full use of what life has to offer. We have only one life.

We should also live it well with honesty. Living honestly is what a human race aspires to live by.

We should also speak to the person directly with kindness if there is an issue that we wish to address respectfully with the person. We can discuss with the person if they need any kind of assistance and so we can refer them to the relevant social assistance with the relevant expertise.

We can be kind by being the voice for the voiceless. We can be an advocate for issues such as being mental health. We can join the necessary workshops to equip ourselves with skills to tell our recovery story that can captivate the audience.

Let’s design our dreams that our heart aspires to be and stop belittling other people. Let’s motivate people whom we truly care about to be the best version of themselves as we improve our ability to connect with others and be honest with our dreams. This is the true definition of kindness.
