Well-being and Healing

Lend me your hand and let me take you to the art of healing for our mental well-being.

Healing comes from the heart and the mind.

The heart speaks to us to do good and forgive others. The mind speaks to us to think good and take actions to recovery.

Once the heart and the mind are in synchrony, then we are finally back home to the path of healing.

There is a caution here.

Doing our best here does not mean we are working ourselves to the point of a mental breakdown. We have to be kind to ourselves and be honest with our inner self that is constantly giving us directions like a moving compass. God has inspired in us many words of wisdom through our inner compass so that we are safe from harm. If we go against our inner self, we will have a great of emotional turmoil going us within us

Being kind to ourselves and following our inner compass are two of the many ways to a better well-being.

Being kind to ourselves also means being gentle to our inner- being. To take it slow and steady and make it right. It is okay to be not okay. But it is not okay to not seek professional help. That is part of being gentle to ourselves that we deserve love and compassion from people around us. Once we hold that belief of kindness, then the universe will respond and give it to us. Being kind also means to stop self-blaming and stop self-hate. We tend to hate ourselves for  being in a state of mentally ill and fulfilling to everyone’s expectations of the society as a whole. So every victory counts, when you are able to get up from bed and take care of your morning well being and see your counselor. That is a small win. Try to write small wins in a notebook every single night before you sleep. You will feel better about yourself and there will be no reasons to feel bad again.

Next, following our inner compass also known as our gut feeling and intuition.

Our inner compass is what gives us clues to living what we are meant to be. All of us are meant to live a good and fulfilling life. If your inner feeling says rest, do take a rest. We tend to overwork ourselves and want to take too much action at one time. We need rest  to recharge ourselves. And maybe just when you are taking a good rest, you might gain some inspirations to do something useful for someone you are connected with and someone you love. You will feel from your heart what you really are meant to be in life as it will fuel with excitement and determination to achieve your dreams. Always follow your heart and believe that you can achieve your goals and aspirations towards a better future.

There is a quote that I would like to share by an anonymous author, “ The road to well-being is a process that is supported by hope, inner strength and perseverance and the involvement of support from others.”

Self- love encompasses all of that. And we can heal and we will.
